John B. Bocock, MD

Dr. Bocock graduated from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina before pursuing a career in medicine. He received a BS in Business Administration and later completed his pre-medical studies at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro where he graduated summa cum laude with an additional BS degree in Biochemistry before attending and graduating from The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University with his medical degree. He then completed a four-year residency in general psychiatry at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in NC. He is board certified by the ABPN and holds medical licenses in Georgia and NC. He supervises PMHNPs in the state of Georgia.

He has served as a staff psychiatrist at Houston Medical Center in Warner Robins Georgia, Phoebe Putney Medical Center in Albany Georgia, Broughton State Hospital in NC, and UNC Appalachian Regional Behavioral Health Hospital in Linville NC. Most recently, Dr. Bocock was employed as a psychiatry Attending Physician through HopeWay in Charlotte, NC providing services across all levels of care including their PHP, IOP, and Residential Treatment Programs. Additionally, he was an assistant clinical professor of psychiatry at Wake Forest School of Medicine, where he taught and supervised resident physicians and medical students. He now sees private clients through the tele-psychiatry platform.
